Tiger Woods is lending his name and support to the Cobbs Creek Foundation and its $65 million renovation of the Cobbs Creek Golf Course, writes Aaron Carter for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
He is partnering with the Foundation to bring a new short course to the 340-acre property along with some educational programming for local youth.
The Cobbs Creek course, primarily in Philadelphia, has a section in Upper Darby.

It’s great that Woods is lending his name and support. Making this renovation a success can do a lot for the surrounding communities.
The clear cutting of trees a couple years ago was tragic, but I hope a good job will be done going forward and I think it’s wonderful that this historically black golf course will be restored, and that Tiger Woods will have a hand in it.
